Ace Tankers takes four chemical carriers from Utkilen

Ace Tankers, a fast growing Amsterdam company backed by Idan Ofer, has swooped for the fleet of Stream Tankers, a chemical carrier subsidiary of Bergen-based Utkilen.

Brokers tell Splash Ace Tankers has paid $34m per ship for the 19,998 dwt sister ships, Stream Atlantic, Stream Arctic, Stream Baltic and Stream Pacific, all ships built in Japan in 2018 and 2019.

A year ago, Ace Tankers paid $252.4m in an en bloc deal with Hafnia for eight 2016- and 2017-built tankers.
