Acta Marine doubles order tally for CSOVs in Turkey

Dutch offshore vessel owner Acta Marine has signed for two more methanol dual-fuel commissioning service operation vessels at Tersan Shipyard in Turkey lifting its orderbook to four.

The shipyard confirmed an option had been exercised under a deal that included two firm units for delivery in the third quarter of 2024 plus two additional newbuilds which will most likely deliver in the fourth quarter of 2024 and early 2025.

The two new CSOVs are intended to work under Acta’s recently signed charter deal with German utility RWE for operations on 857 MW Triton Knoll and the 1.4 GW Sofia offshore wind farm which is under construction in the UK.
