Asiatic Lloyd takes in two more boxships

Singapore-based Asiatic Lloyd has taken delivery of two 4,250 teu boxships from German owner Reederei Schepers, according to Alphaliner.

One of the vessels, the Lena-S, has been renamed ALS Juventus and is on charter to MCC Transport. The sister vessel, Rudolf Schepers, has been renamed ALS Juno and is now on charter to Arkas.

Asiatic Lloyd is owned by the Bunnemann family from Hamburg who also control another line, Atlantic Lloyd. The two companies now own a total of 29 boxships ranging in size from 1,100 teu to 5,100 teu. A further two secondhand units of 2,500 teu are also set to join the fleet.
