Atlantica Shipping adds to offshore fleet

Atlantica Shipping has expanded its offshore fleet with the addition of two platform supply vessels.

The Oslo-based diversified shipowner has taken delivery of the 2006-built FS Arendal and the 2012-built Standard Duke from Fletcher Supply Vessels and Standard Supply, respectively.

Financial terms for the FS Arendal were not revealed, while the Standard Duke came with a price tag of $11m. The ships will be renamed Atlantica Carrier and Atlantica Duke, bringing the company’s PSV fleet to seven ships.

Atlantica currently counts 12 vessels in its portfolio, which, in addition to PSVs, includes three supramax bulk carriers and one boxship and a tanker.
