Bahri fixes Sinokor aframax newbuilds

Saudi Arabia’s top shipping line, Bahri, has signed up for a pair of newbuild aframax tankers in a charter deal with South Korea’s Sinokor.

The Riyadh-based tanker giant and one of the world’s largest owners and operators of very large crude carriers (VLCCs) is taking the 115,000 dwt Jill Glory and Sabrina Glory on charter for two years.

The dayrate for the scrubber-fitted K Shipbuilding-built vessels has been agreed at $42,000 each. According to brokers, a $40,000 per day one-year extension option has been attached to both deals.
