Athens: Three firms active in the North Sea have extended their existing timecharters of Atlantic Offshore supply vessels.

Canadian oil and gas company Nexen has declared its one-year optional extension on its charter of Ocean Tay (1,700 dwt, built 1992). The contract is now firm until December 2016.

Norway’s Statoil has extended its charter of Ocean King (3,200 dwt, built 1984)  for a further six months.  The contract will be carried forward until January next year; with six- and 12-month extension options still remaining.

Ocean Sprite (1,930 dwt, built 1975) has had its contract extended by 18 months until July 2016 by Ithaca, an oil and gas producer with plays in the North Sea.
