China Master Logistics orders feeder boxship pair at Wuchang Shipbuilding

Qingdao-based China Master Logistics has placed an order at CSIC-affiliated Wuchang Shipbuilding for the construction of two 700 teu feeder containerships.

The two vessels, which are expected to be delivered next year, will be deployed on domestic coastal routes from Qingdao to Tianjin, Dalian, Shanghai and Ningbo.

According to Gao Bing, president of China Master Logistics’ shipping unit, the company is also looking to order a new batch of feeder boxships ranging from 800 teu to 1000 teu.

China Master Logistics currently operates eight feeder containerships, four of which are self-owned.
