Chinese general cargo ship sinks fishing boat, five dead five missing

Chinese cargo ship Xin Ri 6 collided with a fishing boat off Qingdao on the Yellow over the weekend, leading to the sinking of the fishing boat with ten crew on board.

Qingdao Maritime Safety Administration sent a rescue team to look for the missing fishermen, and the local navy has also joined the search, which has been hampered by bad weather and rough sea conditions.

Five bodies have been retrieved and the other five are still missing. Search and rescue operations are ongoing.
