Ciner bulks up with kamsarmax newbuilds at Hengli Shipbuilding

Turkey’s Ciner Shipping has added four kamsarmaxes to its large bulk carrier orderbook across Chinese shipyards.

The Istanbul-based bulker and tanker player has contracted 82,000 dwt scrubber-fitted units at Hengli Shipbuilding in Dalian with deliveries starting from March 2027.

Shipbuilding sources suggest a price tag of around $38m each.

Ciner owns and operates a fleet of 24 ships in addition to now 26 listed bulker newbuilding projects in China.

The kamsarmax quartet follows ultramax orders at New Dayang Shipyard costing close to $34m per ship.
