CMA CGM bolsters West Africa position

CMA CGM has dramatically built up its service offerings out of West Africa as well as rebranding many offerings away from subsidiaries to the parent firm. The French line has beefed up services from the region to Europe, Asia, the Middle East and India. Its joint service to Asia with Maersk now boasts the largest boxships to ever call in the region, with CMA CGM providing 10 of the thirteen 9,400 teu capacity ships.

The company has also made changes to all its other services out of the area, and has brought all services out of Africa under one brand, CMA CGM, since the start of this month.
