CNPEC acquires offshore wind installation platform from Keen Offshore

China Nuclear Power Engineering (CNPEC) has entered into a contract with Guangdong-based Keen Offshore Engineering for the acquisition of a newbuild offshore wind installation platform.

The platform, designed and manufactured by Keen Offshore, can operate in the water depth of 60 metres and has a lifting capacity of 1,200 tons.

Under the contract, Keen Offshore will sell the platform plus one-year maintenance services for RMB493m ($71m).

CNPEC is the offshore engineering unit of China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN). The company won three bids for engineering works at domestic offshore wind farms.
