Continental Bitumen orders asphalt carrier pair at Wuhu Shipyard

China’s Wuhu Shipyard has secured an order from European company Continental Bitumen for the construction of two 21,500 dwt asphalt carriers.

The vessels are designed by FKAB and Bureau Veritas. They will be equipped with LNG dual-fuel propulsion systems as well as a battery power pack.

The vessels will be used to support the company’s asphalt trades in Asia, Australia and North America.
