Singapore’s Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) has opened an investigation into business practices at Seatrium, the combined shipyard conglomerate of Keppel and Sembcorp.

Seatrium said investigations relate to events that occurred prior to 2015.

In a statement on Wednesday evening, CPIB said that acting on information received, it had begun investigations against Seatrium, as well as individuals in the offshore and marine engineering company, on alleged corruption offences in Brazil.
