Cosco Shipping Energy appoints new chairman

Cosco Shipping Energy Transportation (CSET), the tanker unit of state-run China Cosco Shipping Corporation, has announced that Huang Xiaowen has resigned as the chairman and executive director of the company due to a change in work arrangement.

The board of the company has voted Liu Hanbo, currently general manager of the company, to take over Huang’s positions.

Liu, 60, has served various managing positions within Cosco Group including general manager of Cosco Shipping Bulk and deputy general manager of Cosco Dalian Ocean Shipping, the former tanker unit of Cosco before the merger with China Shipping.

Additionally, CSET promoted Zhu Maijin, deputy general manager of the company to the general manager position.
