Diana Shipping seals new kamsarmax charter with Cargill at reduced rate

Greek dry bulk owner Diana Shipping has signed a time charter contract with Cargill International for its 2010-built kamsarmax bulker Medusa.

The new charter is for 11-13 months commencing today, The daily rate of $11,000 per day is significantly down on the previous charter rate of $14,000 per day.

Diana Shipping says the new charter will generate around $3.47m of gross revenue based on the minimum time charter period.
