Dorian LPG fixes newbuild VLGC

Dorian LPG has fixed newbuild VLGC Commander on a five-year time charter to an undisclosed major Asian oil company.

The 84,000 cbm vessel was delivered from Hyundai Heavy Industries on November 5 and immediately went into the Helios LPG pool. The vessel has, however, already commenced its new time charter.

Commander is Dorian’s 15th newbuild VLGC to be delivered. Two further vessels were delivered in November, Chaparral and Copernicus, leaving two more VLGCs on order which are due for deliver in 2016.

Dorian LPG currently owns 20 VLGCs and one pressurized LPG vessel.
