Eagle Bulk acquires resale bulker

Eagle Bulk Shipping has announced that it has acquired a resale 2017-build 64,000dwt ultramax dry bulk vessel under construction at CSSC-affiliated Chengxi Shipyard.

The vessel is scheduled to be delivered to the company in January 2017, and will be named the Singapore Eagle.

Last week, Eagle Bulk announced the acquisition of a 2016-built 61,000dwt ultramax vessel under construction at Nantong COSCO Kawasaki Heavy Industries Engineering (NACKS).

Including the newly acquired vessels, Eagle Bulk’s fleet consists of 42 owned vessels.
