EDT and URS partner on subsea work

Cyprus-based EDT Ship Management and Scottish company Utility ROV Services (URS) have entered into an agreement to collaborate on subsea boulder clearance work in the European renewables market.

Under the agreement, URS will deliver the combined UTROV services to clients, whilst EDT will provide the vessel EDT Kennedy, ship management and all associated support relating to the vessel.

The charter of the vessel is for one-year initially with an option to extend the contract further.

“URS have been looking to partner with a suitable vessel owner for some time, and we are pleased to enter this agreement with EDTSM. The EDT Kennedy is a perfect platform for the company, and EDT are well-established and highly respected in the vessel market. They have a shared vision of providing high quality services into the Renewables Market, at a cost base that is competitive, whilst delivering high productivity. This agreement allows us to provide a fantastic vessel spread for our clients, whilst also giving the company access to other EDT vessels, where required,” said Patrick Crawford, managing director of URS.
