Eidesvik Offshore get subsea vessel extension from Technip

France’s Technip is extending its contract for Eidesvik Offshore subsea vessel Viking Neptun from the beginning of April.

The new contract secures employment for the vessel into 2017, with Reach Subsea providing ROV and subsea services onboard the vessel.

Jan Fredrik Meling, CEO of Eidesvik Offshore, commented: “We are very pleased with the confidence Technip has showed us by awarding Eidesvik Offshore this important contract who will be more or less in direct continuation with the existing contract with Technip.

“This has been made possible by the excellent performance from our offshore employees, including our partner Reach Subsea, since delivery of the vessel last year.”

Eidesvik Offshore has also won a contract for platform supply vessel Viking Prince from Faroe Petroleum for one well starting mid May 2016. The contract is around 35 days, with a one well option estimated at 45 days.
