Emarat Maritime pounces for four ultramaxes

In the bulker sector, Emarat Maritime has placed an order for four 63,000 dwt ultramaxes at New Dayang Shipbuilding, due for delivery in Q2 and Q3 2025.

Banchero Costa reports that the Dubai owner stepped in to take the four newbuild slots at the Chinese yard after Marine Capital failed to conclude a letter of intent signed at the end of last year.

Emarat Maritime has a fleet today made up of six aframax tankers and four bulk carriers.
