Geoquip awarded offshore wind contract in the US

Swiss geotechnical company Geoquip Marine has secured a contract for its newly acquired geotechnical vessel Geoquip Speer to support the development of an offshore wind farm.

According to Geoquip Marine, Geoquip Speer will carry out seabed CPT work for a major offshore wind farm development in the United States.

Geoquip Marine has recently completed a conversion and upgrade for the Geoquip Speer, enabling the vessel to be fitted with a fully heave-compensated offshore geotechnical drilling rig and deepwater seabed CPT unit.

Geoquip currently operates five specialised geotechnical vessels.
