Golden Energy Offshore flips one of recently acquired Vroon ships

Norway’s Golden Energy Offshore Services (GEOS) is set to cash in on one of the recently acquired vessels from Vroon.

The Oslo-listed, Alesund-based owner has agreed to sell the 2016-built subsea support vessel (SSV), VOS Sugar for €15m ($15.85m).

A deal with an undisclosed buyer is subject to satisfactory vessel inspection and is expected to close in November 2023.

In August, GEOS picked up Vroon’s four platform supply vessels (PSVs) and the SSV for $94m.

“The agreed sales price of the SSV would represent a substantial cash profit to the company relative to the acquisition cost of $9.4m in the fleet acquisition,” GEOS said in Oslo Exchange filing on Wednesday.
