Hartmann Group takes resale LEG from CIMC Sinopacific

German owner Hartmann Group has acquired a resale liquid ethylene gas (LEG) carrier at CIMC Sinopacific Offshore.

Shipbroking sources said the 22,000 cu m vessel (hull 1030) was sold by the yard for a price of $45m.

The vessel was originally ordered by Odfjell Gas Carriers in 2014 as part of a four-ship order at a price of $50m each, before former Sinopacific Offshore yard went bankrupt along with the Sinopacific Shipbuilding Group in 2016.

Sinopacific Offshore completed restructuring with CIMC Enric in 2017 and has been renamed CIMC Sinopacific Offshore.

Hartmann owns a diversified fleet of nearly 90 vessels, including 14 LEG carriers.
