Hinda Gharbi takes the helm at Bureau Veritas

French class society Bureau Veritas (BV) has appointed Hinda Gharbi as chief executive officer, succeeding Didier Michaud-Daniel, who has held the position for over 11 years.

Gharbi joined Bureau Veritas as chief operating officer in May 2022 and became deputy CEO in January this year.

Before BV, she worked for energy sector services giant Schlumberger, now SLB, for 26 years in a variety of general management positions. From 2017, Gharbi was a member of Schlumberger’s executive committee and from July 2020, she was executive vice president of services and equipment.

In addition to the new CEO, BV has a new chairman in place. Laurent Mignon has taken over from Aldo Cardoso, who resigned as chairman following 17 years on the board of directors.
