Icon Offshore pens AHTS deal with SEA Hibiscus

Malaysian offshore service provider Icon Offshore has secured a contract from Hibiscus Petroleum subsidiary SEA Hibiscus for the provision of one 60 mt anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessel.

Icon Offshore said in a Bursa Malaysia filing that the anchor handler will support SEA Hibiscus’ 2023/2024 drilling campaign.

According to the company, the provision of the service has already started. The value of the contract is based on the schedule of rates issued by SEA Hibiscus throughout the contract duration.

The duration of the contract is 450 days from the start date with a 30-day extension option based on the same terms and conditions, save for the prices and rates which shall be subject to mutual agreement between the parties.

Icon added that the deal was expected to contribute positively to earnings, order book, and net assets of the company for the financial years ending on December 31, 2023, and 2024.
