Island Drilling semisub secures more work in Equatorial Guinea

Norwegian rig owner Island Drilling has seen two options exercised on its 2012-built semisub Island Innovator offshore Equatorial Guinea.

Trident Energy has booked the rig for development drilling and workover adding another 85 days to the contracted work that should keep the unit busy for around three months.

The campaign is planned to start in September or October of 2023 and Trident has three more options available.
