Island Offshore ships out subsea vessel

Norway’s Island Offshore has sold its subsea construction vessel Ocean Intervention III after a 17-year charter.

The 2005 Kleven-built SCV under contract with Oceaneering since 2007 of which some 12 years in Angola, has gone to an undisclosed buyer.

The vessel has already changed hands and will operate outside the African offshore sector, the company said.

Following the sale, Island Offshore will have a diversified fleet of about 20 operations vessels with two as part of the subsea construction segment.
