James Fisher inks second OSV charter this year

James Fisher Subtech has inked its second charter agreement this year as it looks to bolster its capacity in the UK offshore energy sector.

The company, part of James Fisher and Sons, has chartered in the 2012-built multipurpose offshore vessel, Olympic Taurus from Norway’s Olympic Subsea.

The deal comes hot on the heels of Edda Savanah charter with another Norwegian operator Østensjø Rederi.

The new charter agreement will see the Olympic Taurus utilised by JF Subtech and its sister company, James Fisher Renewables. The vessel has already been mobilised for work in the North Sea and should be available for additional projects in and around UK and European waters from early May.
