Leadership change at Eneti’s Seajacks

Eneti’s Seajacks has appointed Sebastian Brooke as its new chief executive officer with immediate effect.

Brooke will step up from the chief operating officer position to take over from Blair Ainslie, who has decided to retire after 17 years with the company. The duo formed Seajacks in 2007, and today the UK-based firm has a fleet of five self-propelled jackups servicing the offshore wind and oil and gas sectors.

Ainslie will remain with Seajacks until the end of 2023 to support and advise Brooke in his new role and then most likely support Seajacks in a consulting capacity.

“After 17 years at the Seajacks helm, and with an ever-expanding brood of grandchildren, I feel that now is the opportune time to step aside. I am pleased that my longstanding colleague, Sebastian Brooke, will be taking over from me as CEO.  Under his guidance and leadership and the continued loyalty and support from the Seajacks team, I am confident that the company will continue to flourish and prosper,” said retiring CEO Ainslie.

Commenting on his appointment, Seajacks new CEO, Brooke, added: “I look forward to continuing the journey with my colleagues as the company continues to evolve with the offshore wind market. It is an exciting time in the industry and as a result of the hard work and efforts of our offshore and onshore staff, we are well-positioned to benefit from the increasing activity across all areas of offshore operations.”
