Leadership change at Fred Olsen Windcarrier

Norwegian offshore wind installation player Fred Olsen Windcarrier has appointed Haakon Magne Ore as its new chief executive officer.

Ore will take over from Alexandra Koefoed on March 1, following a transition period, the company said.

He joins the company from Fred Olsen & Co where he currently serves as director and vice president of finance. He has worked closely with Fred Olsen-related companies across the renewable value chain. His previous stints include DNB Markets Investment Banking, Fearnley Funds and Orkla.

“On behalf of the board, I am very happy to welcome Haakon Magne to the new position. His extensive experience and achievements in Fred Olsen & Co, understanding for the renewable energy industry and collaboration with the management team in Fred Olsen Windcarrier makes him well-suited for the job and the further development and growth of the company,” said Anette Olsen the company’s chair.

Fred Olsen Windcarrier recently landed a contract with Ørsted and PGE for the Baltica 2 project in Poland. The company will carry out the installation of wind turbines utilising one of its special purpose-built jackup vessels during 2027.

In related news, renewables tech company, Fred Olsen 1848, named Per Arvid Holth as its new CEO. He will succeed Sofie Olsen Jebsen, who will take the top position at Fred Olsen Renewables also in March.
