Nexans exercises option on GC Rieber subsea vessel

GC Rieber Shipping has been given a boost, with Nexans Skagerrak declaring a 13 month option on construction support vessel Polar King.

Nexans contracted the vessel in March for eight and a half months commencing January 2017, and with the options now declared will employ the vessel through to September 2018. Further extension options are still available.

Polar King will conduct survey, trenching and cable laying activities in Norway, the North Sea, the Mediterranean and Canada.
