Noble adds to UK jackup backlog

New York and Copenhagen-listed offshore rig owner Noble Corporation has secured more work with BP for its 2003-built jackup rig Noble Innovator.

UK supermajor has exercised an option to add one well to the work scope of the ultra-harsh environment unit operating in the UK sector of the North Sea.

The contract extension is for about 90 days, keeping the rig fixed into December 2024.

In addition, Noble and BP have agreed to expand the structure of the contract options, which now gives BP the choice to extend the contract by up to six additional wells at pre-agreed rates.
