Noble scores drillship contract in US Gulf

New York and Copenhagen-listed offshore rig owner Noble Corporation has sealed a deal with LLOG Exploration Offshore for its drillship Noble Valiant.

The 2014-built rig has been fixed to the Louisiana-based operator for six months for work in the US Gulf of Mexico.

The contract is set to start between November 2023 and March 2024 at $470,000 per day, in direct continuation of the rig’s current contract. The deal excludes mobilisation rates and a potential fee for any use of managed pressure drilling.

The drillship is currently operating for Kosmos Energy in the US Gulf of Mexico and is further scheduled to complete a one-well contract with an unnamed operator prior to commencing the work scope for LLOG. Noble currently has the 2013-built Noble Faye Kozack working for LLOG.
