Olympics fever sweeps across CMA CGM and Marseille

Having taken Chinese president Xi Jinping to a snowy peak in the Pyrenees yesterday, Emmanuel Macron makes his way to Marseille today where Olympics fever is set to step up a gear with the arrival of the official flame.

CMA CGM, as official logistics partner for the games, which kick off in 79 days, has anchored its specially bedecked 15,000 teu CMA CGM Greenland near the company’s headquarters (pictured).

The entry of the three-masted Belem carrying the Olympic torch from Greece into Marseille’s Vieux-Port is anticipated at around 11am today.

Cash-rich CMA CGM’s exposure to sport is growing. It is this year’s shirt sponsor of Olympique Marseille, the French president’s favourite football team.
