Omicron snaps up panamax bulker from Monaco’s Transocean

Omicron Ship Management has acquired 2008-built panamax bulker Atlas B according to broking sources.

Seasure Shipbroking says the Greek company has paid $12.2m to Monaco’s Transocean Maritime Agencies for the Imabari-built vessel. While the price is $1m less than the $13.2m valuation by VesselsValue, the deal seas Transocean pocket $2.6m having acquired the vessel for $9.6m in 2016.

Dinos Economou-led Omicron currently has a fleet of five panamax bulkers, all built in Japan.
