Port of Oakland president extends term

The board of Port of Oakland has re-elected Ces Butner as its president, a move which will see Butner serve his third term as president at the port.

The votes came in the same week that Oakland’s City Council re-appointed president Butner and commissioner Joan Story to the port’s board.

Butner joined the Board of Port Commissioners in 2012, and first served as president from July 2013.

The election was after Port of Oakland announced the retirement of its executive director Chris Lytle last week.
