Ports America extends its operator’s agreement with Tampa Bay Container Terminal

Ports America, one of the leading marine terminal operators and stevedoring firms in the US, has signed an amended container agreement with Tampa Bay Container Terminal in Florida, extending an existing deal to 2046.

The deal comes with both parties anticipating an uptick in container traffic because of the Panama Canal expansion.

They also agreed a new breakbulk concession of five years, including two one-year extension options.

And they jointly purchased two new post-Panamax gantry cranes.
