Salvors ready another attempt to tow stricken Modern Express

A team from SMIT Salvage will try again to tow the stricken Modern Express car carrier after a failed attempt yesterday.

The ship was abandoned earlier in the week as it listed dramatically in stormy weather in Spanish waters. It has since drifted north into French territory and is now due west of La Rochelle.

Efforts to fix a tow line failed yesterday and one of the salvors suffered minor injuries in squally weather.
