SIPG president steps down

Yan Jun has resigned as president and director of Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG).

Yan has served as SIPG president since 2014. He sits on the board of Orient Overseas International (OOIL) and also previously held the position of general manager of Shanghai Port Container Terminal and director and general manager at SIPG Jiujiang Port.

The departure is due to work-related reasons, SIPG said in a regulatory filing. Chairman Gu Jinshan will step in acting as interim president.

SIPG was established in January 2003 through the restructuring of the Shanghai Port Authority. It became a shareholding company in June 2005 and was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on October 26, 2006, becoming the first of its kind to go public in China.
