Solstad Offshore bags double fixture in Australia

Norway’s Solstad Offshore has been awarded new contracts in Australia for two of its vessels.

The 2009-built construction support vessel Normand Australis, has been fixed to an unnamed subsea contractor for a minimum of 150 days, with options to extend. The contract will start in the fourth quarter of 2023.

In addition, the 2014-built large anchor handling tug supply unit Normand Sirius, has been contracted by an international energy company for at least 160 days to support a drilling campaign offshore Western Australia. The contract is set to start in the second quarter of 2024, with options to extend the fixture by a further 250 days.

The two ships will be owned by Solstad Newco after the planned refinancing of Solstad.
