Sostald Offshore gets CSV subcontract for Ichthys project

Norway’s Solstad Offshore has been awarded a subcontract from US firm McDermott for the provision of light construction vessel services at the Ichthys gas field development project off Western Australia.

Solstad CSV Normand Reach will assist McDermott’s main construction vessel in FPSO hook up, subsea activities, pre-commissioning and survey scopes in 2017.

The length and value of the contract was not revealed.

“The contract represents an exciting opportunity for Solstad Offshore to introduce more its high specification subsea construction vessels into Australia Pacific and Asia,” the company said in a statement.
