UK shipbroker Simpson Spence Young (SSY) is expanding its offshore operation with a second acquisition in the sector this year.
The London-headquartered firm has sealed a deal to buy German specialist shipbroker, F3 Offshore for an undisclosed sum.
The Hamburg-based outfit, founded in 2009, is the first brokerage to specialise in North Sea renewables and is one of the key players in the region as well as in the Middle East.
The deal will see SSY set up shop in Hamburg and expand its existing presence in Dubai.
SSY marked its entry into the offshore sector in February with the acquisition of Westshore Shipbrokers in Norway.
