Stolt Tankers appoints Lucas Vos as president

Olso-listed Stolt-Nielsen has appointed Lucas Vos as president of Stolt Tankers, succeeding Mark Martecchini with effect from October 11.

Stolt-Nielsen says that Martecchini will assume management of the division’s shipowning team and ongoing responsibility for Stolt Tankers’ business transformation programme.

Vos spent 12 years at P&O Nedlloyd in various management roles, and stayed on with Maersk Line from 2008 to 2013 where his most recent role was chief commercial officer. He has spent the last four years as CEO of Royal FloraHolland and was responsible for the creation and launch of a new digital ecosystem strategy.

Lucas’s background in shipping combined with his digital transformation experience from Royal FloraHolland will ensure we maintain our leading position in the industry.”

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List. In 2009 Grant joined Seatrade responsible for the commercial development of Seatrade’s Asia products. In 2012, with Sam Chambers, he co-founded Asia Shipping Media.
