Tanker blast kills two at Chittagong dockyard

Two workers were killed and three others injured in an explosion incident at a dockyard in Chittagong yesterday.

According to local reports, the incident occurred when the workers were doing repair work on an oil tanker named Desh-1 at the Ocean Dockyard in Shikalbaha, Chittagong.

Five workers were removing rust from the vessel when a gas cylinder suddenly exploded, leading to the death of the two workers.

The injured were sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) for treatment. Two of the injured are in critical condition and another worker suffered minor injury as he jumped off from the ship.
