TechnipFMC, Aker and Subsea 7 secure contracts for Pil & Bue

Norwegian E&P company VNG Norge has awarded a series of front end engineering and design (FEED) contracts for the Pil & Bue project.

Subsea 7 and TechnipFMC have received the FEED contract for subsea structures, umbilicals, risers, and flowlines while Aker Solutions and TechnipFMC have received the FEED contract for the subsea production systems.

The awards were based on a prequalification of tenderers. The studies will culminate in a design competition on which the contract for engineering, procurement, construction, and installation will be awarded in the fourth quarter of 2017.

Partners in the Pil & Bue project are VNG Norge (30%), Faroe Petroleum (25%), and Point Resources (45%).
