The editorial policy of ex-seafarer turned shipping’s most famous editor, Michael Grey, during his tenure at Lloyd’s List newspaper was simple: “Safety at sea, and don’t knock the IMO”. Mercifully, Mike, a mentor of mine for many a year, is not a subscriber to Splash Extra.

Sam Chambers

Starting out with the Informa Group in 2000 in Hong Kong, Sam Chambers became editor of Maritime Asia magazine as well as East Asia Editor for the world’s oldest newspaper, Lloyd’s List.
