Three rescued from oil platform after vessel sinks off Texas

Three men were rescued after their boat sank near an oil platform off the Texas coast early Sunday.

The Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston received a report from the Matagorda County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday at around 03.00 hrs local time about a vessel in distress near Freeport.

The Coast Guard aircrew located the survivors stranded on an unnamed platform shortly. Once the boat crew arrived on the scene, the three men were taken aboard and brought to Surfside Marina. All were reportedly in stable condition.
