Valles concludes first sale in three years

Valles Steamship has been linked with its first ship sale since 2014. The conservative Hong Kong owner is reported by brokers to have sold its second oldest ship in its fleet, the 2003-built Seaborne aframax.

The Tsuneishi-built vessel has fetched a price of $10.9m. The buyer has yet to be revealed.

The Valles fleet is made up of aframaxes, LR1 product tankers and two bulkers.

The last sale by Valles was the Seatransport back in 2014. Senior management at the Hong Kong firm told Splash today there were no further vessel sales planned for the time being.
