Vroon charters out SOV to Hughes Subsea

Dutch shipowner Vroon has chartered out its 2017-built SOV Vos Start to UK-based Hughes Subsea Services.

The one-year charter has already commenced and will see the subsea support and walk-2-work vessel initially undertake field operations in the North Sea, operating from Teesside port.

Ian Hughes, managing director of Hughes Subsea, said: “Hughes Subsea is very pleased to secure the Vos Start. We’re looking forward to what promises to be a busy 2023 for our renewables and oil and gas projects.”

Hughes Subsea added that it is anticipated that the vessel will have availability during the charter period.
