West Africa Gas orders LPG carriers in South Korea 

Nigerian owner West Africa Gas has ordered two firm 40,000 cu m LPG carriers at Hyundai Mipo in South Korea due for delivery in 2025 and 2026. The contract has an option for one more. Clarksons Research lists the price per ship as being $70.5m. 

West African Gas was incorporated 10 years ago as a joint venture Company of: Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation LNG, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), and Ocean Bed Trading, an oil and gas trading company.

Within this mid-sized LPG segment ships on order remain at manageable levels with Clarksons recording the orderbook to be at 13.2% of the extant fleet.
